At Amber Job, we love seeing how students bridge the gap between their studies and the professional world. Today, we’re featuring Nathalie Kluskens, a 19-year-old Nutrition and Lifestyle Advisor student who traded the classroom for the beautiful island of Kos, Greece, to complete her 10-week block internship.

Alongside her classmate Britt, Nathalie stepped into the high-energy world of hotel entertainment, proving that lifestyle coaching is just as much about movement and mindset as it is about nutrition.

🧘 From Training to Independent Instruction

Nathalie began her journey at the Panorama Hotel, where she hit the ground running. After an intensive week of professional training alongside her colleague Kola, she quickly transitioned from observer to leader.

Leveraging her background in health and wellness, she took charge of the hotel's fitness programming, leading independent sessions in:

  • Mindfulness & Flexibility: Guiding guests through calming Yoga and Stretching routines.

  • High-Energy Fitness: Energizing the pool area with Aqua Gym sessions.

  • Professional Progression: Transforming initial nerves into a confident, fluid coaching style that made every guest feel welcome.

🌅 The Rhythm of a Pro Animator

The life of an entertainer is one of dedication. Nathalie embraced the "all-day" nature of the resort, transitioning from sunny morning fitness classes to high-engagement evening programs. This immersion allowed her to see the full cycle of guest entertainment, ensuring that the "lifestyle" experience never stopped.

🧠 A Journey of Personal Discovery

Beyond the professional fitness sets, Nathalie’s 10 weeks in Greece served as a period of massive personal growth. By stepping out of her comfort zone, she returned home with more than just a certificate:

  • Global Networking: Building a worldwide circle of friends and maintaining lasting connections with international guests.

  • Confidence & Independence: Navigating life abroad and taking responsibility for her own classes made her more self-reliant.

  • Linguistic Mastery: Significantly improving her English through daily interactions with a diverse, multilingual audience.

  • Social Ease: Breaking down barriers and finding it easier than ever to make authentic contact with new people.

"I learned a lot from this internship—it made me more independent and more confident. It’s easier for me to make contact with people, and it also improved my English!" — Nathalie Kluskens

📈 The Career Launchpad

Nathalie’s story is a perfect example of how an Erasmus+ internship can complement a specific field of study like Nutrition and Lifestyle. By mastering the "people" side of health and wellness in a world-class resort, she has built a foundation for a career that is as vibrant as a Greek summer.
